SmartSuite's first look - Solutions

SmartSuite's first look - Solutions

Introduction

This post is part of a series and it is ideal for you if you have never seen SmartSuite, and you want to have a glance at it before signing up.

In this post, we are going to explore the basics of SmartSuite about “Solutions”.

SmartSuite Solutions

As soon as you open your SmartSuite account, it welcomes you with a fresh and intuitive interface, ready for you to use!

The first thing you would need to do to make the software your unique business application is to create what is called in SmartSuite’s terminology a “Solution”.

What is a Solution? A solution is a software component where people within your business collaborate and are empowered to work consistently towards specific business goals. Think of a solution like a customised application that you can create and use within SmartSuite.

You can use solutions for various purposes, including:

  • Sales CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
  • Project management
  • Business roadmap
  • Company strategy
  • Expense tracking
  • Events planning
  • And much more!

SmartSuite is a platform, not “just” a software. A platform where whatever process you need to streamline within your business, you can implement it within the software.

Solution Templates

Out of the box, SmartSuite provides us with many solution templates ready for deployment within a workspace (a SmartSuite account where you can access all your solutions), with a click of a button.

And there is also the possibility of trying read-only templates interactively, even before deploying a solution template, which helps you gain an understanding and feel about the solution.

At this point, it is a matter of finding the most suitable template or templates to our needs, starting from there, and customising those as you see fit.

Alternatively, if you have a clear idea of your requirements, you can easily start from scratch as well, it is entirely up to you!

Most aspects are configurable within a solution, such as:

  • Name
  • Theme and icon
  • Permissions (access rights)
  • Automation and integrations
  • And much more…

But for now, let’s not get ahead of ourselves!

Conclusion

In this post we had a quick look at SmartSuite’s solutions, what they are and some information about the ready-to-deploy templates provided. See you in the next post!
